Gateway's Vision
God Has a Purpose and Destiny for All of Us
Our vision is to be a gateway of Christ's love, power and truth through committed relationships with God, His people, and our community.
God has called all people to Himself. Those within the church are to be examples of the love of Christ to our communities. Gateway's commitment to our community is to pray, care, feed, and lead people into the love and destiny God has for them. As a church we are committed to encourage and help you along your journey of life and bring you into the fullness God has for you.
God has a purpose and destiny for each of us. At the same time all of us face different challenges working out that purpose and destiny. In church we gather with other people who can celebrate our victories with us, and help us in our defeats. The church is God's family working together on a weekly basis. Some are there to encourage while others are there to be encouraged. Wherever we are in life, we can expect to receive something from church.
The first commandment is to love God. In church we love God by worshipping Him. We thank him for the awesome opportunity He has given us to live life not only in His creation but also in relationship with Him.
The second commandment is to love one another. Every person has an opportunity to come into relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Our relationship with Jesus enables us to love one another as he loved us.
Gateway City Church strives to build a church upon the foundations set out in scripture using the New Testament Church as our blueprint for structure and growth. Gateway City Church is to be a safe place where people of all ages, backgrounds, and affiliations can find the love of Christ demonstrated, the Word of God preached, positive praise and worship, and the Holy Spirit moving in a balanced, powerful way.
These are great times to be walking with God and our hope is that you will find that Gateway is a place where you can find faith, hope, and love.
